DV lottery application submission for 2015 starting from Oct 1st till Nov 2nd.

The registration for tempting Diversity Visa (DV) lottery is beginning on October 1, the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu said in a statement. The application period for the 2015 DV programme will end on November 2.

With a hope to migrate to the U.S., thousands of Nepalis apply for the lottery programme every year.

The entries for the lottery are to be submitted electronically at www.dvlottery.state.gov during the one-month period.

The entrants will have to check whether they have been selected for the DV by logging on to www.dvlottery.state.gov after May 1, 2014, the Embassy said.

People with 12 years of formal education are eligible for the programme.

Though the application is free of cost, local businesses charge the aspirants some money as service charge to help them fill up electronic form.
